DONATE

 OUR MISSION

To restore the facilities at Hofmann Apiaries so that, through education and service, we are better able to promote ideas and actions that create a healthier environment for honey bees and all endangered pollinating insects.

RESTORATION

The honey house and wax shed require new roofs, windows and paint. Beyond that our plans include refitting the honey house as a fully functioning extracting plant and converting the interior of the wax shed to a clean, comfortable, attractive open space in which to host classes, talks, meetings and workshops. We also need an expanded asphalt driveway and parking area, walkways, signage, and funding to help with a large pollinator-friendly garden that is in the design stage and will be part of the educational aspect of the site.

NEED

Fulfilling these plans will take a considerable amount of money. We are exploring various funding and grant possibilities, but we are concerned that even with some success in those areas we’ll not have the funding necessary to accomplish our goals. We therefore encourage any and all who are of a mind to do so to please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Hofmann Apiaries. The giver should make this donation to The Waseca County Historical Society with “For Hofmann Apiaries” clearly written on the check memo.
